In 2012 the Sri Lankan government introduced an electronic travel authorization document known as eTA. The main aim of this action was to speed up the registration process and maintain control over the number of visiting tourists.

The application process for the Sri Lankan eTA is convenient and uncomplicated. The entire procedure is conducted online and should not take more than 10 minutes of your time. Besides preparing the required documentation, you must also ensure a working electronic device with a stable Internet connection. There are no additional requirements.
